Given the Covid-19 restrictions introduced by the Government and the current state of the outfield at Corfton Road, following delays to the completion of the outfield re-levelling work during the winter, the availability of the Nets at Corfton Road will be restricted in the next few weeks as follows:
The Nets at Popesfield will continue not to be available for use by individual members
Restricted access to the Nets at Corfton Road
Please note that, until at least the end of April 2021, members coming to use the Nets at Corfton Road should only use the Car Park Gate when they arrive and access the nets by the marked path running along the Eastern side of the ground. There is no direct access from the Pavilion to the Nets.
We are trying to keep people off the outfield as much as possible. To this end, we will be erecting fencing behind the nets, which will hopefully prevent most of the balls coming from the nets from reaching the outfield. However, some balls may go on to the outfield and you may go and retrieve them, but please keep any incursions on to the outfield to the absolute minimum.
Anyone attempting to access the Nets other than by the path running along the Eastern side of the ground will be asked to leave the ground immediately and any booking they may have made will be cancelled.
When you leave the Nets, please use the path running along the Eastern side of the ground and exit the ground via the Car Park Gate. If you want to go to the Pavilion, you must leave the ground, walk along Woodville Gardens and Corfton Road and re-enter the ground via the Main Gate.
The Club will be employing staff to monitor the use of the Nets at Corfton Road.
Times when the Nets at Corfton Road are available for use by individual members

Outside these times, there will no usage of the Nets permitted by individual members. The Nets will be used in organised Club training sessions, but even this will be restricted in the short term.

What you must bring with you and what should you do when you are at the Club
Users of the Nets at Corfton Road should bring anything they are going to use with them, including:
Cricket equipment
Other protective equipment
Members should avoid sharing any of these items with anyone else, other than a member of their household.
Face coverings should be worn going to and coming from the Nets, but do not need to be worn while using the Nets. Social distancing, other than with members of the same household, must be maintained at all times.
Members should ideally arrive not more than 5 minutes before their designated time.
Sessions will last 50 minutes and there will be a 10 minute gap between the end of one session and the start of the next session. Please end your session on time and eave immediately following the end of your session.
If the Pavilion is open, the toilets there may be used, but, at other times, there will be no toilet facilities, so please use the facilities at your home before you leave to come to the Club. You should wear a face covering when you are inside the Pavilion.
During sessions, batters should knock the ball back to the bowlers using their bat and should not pick up the ball.
Please note that bowling machines will be under the control of the Club’s coaches. If a member using the Corfton Road Nets wishes to use a bowling machine and the coach is not using the bowling machine in their one on one lesson, then, and only with the agreement of the coach, the member may be allowed to use the bowling machine.
The bowling machine will remain the responsibility of the coach, who will be responsible for setting up the machine and putting it away at the end of the day or in the event of bad weather. The coach should not allow the use of a bowling machine unless they are satisfied that the person who is to be using the machine is capable of operating the machine safely and without damage to the machine.
Please note that bowling machine balls are not provided by the Club. If a coach allows the use of their own bowling machine balls, these should be sanitised between use by different individuals.
It is important that while people are at the Club:
